Purification at Sebatu holy spring, you can participate in the Balinese-Hindu practice of ‘Melukat,’ or ritual purification, which is held near two old temples: Pasiraman Dalem Pingit and Pura Gunung Kawi Sebatu
Sebatu is one of Bali’s most ancient and holy destinations for spiritual purification, located 25 minutes north of Ubud in the foothills of Mount Batur. You will be accompanied by an experienced guide; this sacred spring is tucked away and difficult to find on your own.
The purification ceremony, known as Melukat, is a sacred Balinese Hindu ritual aimed at cleansing both body and soul from negative energies. Visitors can immerse themselves in the holy spring waters and follow the local priest’s guidance, using the water to wash away physical and spiritual impurities
During the ceremony, you will also take part in making offerings of flowers, incense, and fruits to the deities. This ritual is accompanied by prayers and mantras led by the priest, inviting peace and blessings for the participants
